A day of thought-leaders, change-makers, and wisdom teachers! Tamara & I headed out on a 24 hour road trip packed full of inspiration! What an incredible line up! Oprah started off the day by saying, "It's happening to grow you to the next level. Feel it, choose love and freedom." On everyone's seat was an authentic African Djembe drum. YES! We got to play them! Reminding us to always march to the beat of your own drum. Doug Manuel taught us how to beat the drums. With each hit you could feel the vibration throughout your body. The energy in the room lifted your heart. If you ever get a chance to see Doug Manuel's Do You Speak Djembe? don't miss it. What a fun interactive experience! Gary Zukav was next to take the stage. I read his book, The Seat Of The Soul, in 1989 and it changed my life. The 25th anniversary addition has just been released. He reminded us to be in exact alignment with the flow of your soul. Always live life from your authentic self. Glennon Doyle Melton, author of Love Warrior, lit up the stage with her fiery personality! Her message was clear, sit in the center of your pain and feel it, teach me what I need to know. Don't hit that easy button and find a way out. Stay with that grief and learn from it. Choose love. Wes Moore shared with us, "The work that you do is not a conclusion, it is your journey. Your work allows you to realize why you're here. The choices we make about the lives we live determine the kinds of legacies we leave." Gabrielle Bernstein, The Spirit Junkie, was probably my favorite speaker of the day. Ask & listen. Be still. Surrender. " Those who are certain of the outcome can afford to wait and wait without anxiety." Oh yes I forgot to mention that Usher was sitting a few seats away from us! There were lots of other famous people in the audience as well! This was definitely an audience participation day. Angela Davis had us on our feet for a good workout! I loved Pastor John Gray's message. We all need to meet in the middle. TRUTH! Tony Robbins wrapped up the day. He said now take all of this goodness and put it into action! My favorite thing he said was listen first to your heart. Did you know your heart beats before your brain functions? What an awesome, inspiring day. The common thread in all of the speakers messages was LOVE. just LOVE. From my heart to your heart I send you love <3 Barb

Six months ago Jaime and I were sitting around the campfire talking and she said, "would you like to do an art retreat at our new trailer pond at Alta Colina Winery?" The rest is history.... Meet Jaime Holm, owner of Tinker Tin Trailer Co., and Maggie Tillman, part of a father/daughter duo that make Alta Colina Vineyard and Winery an amazing success. "The partnership between Tinker Tin Trailer Co. and Alta Colina began with a combined vision to offer guests a unique and unforgettable experiencing, camping in a vintage trailer in the middle of a beautiful, organically grown vineyard. The Trailer Pond allows two family owned small businesses a chance to share their piece of the American dream while providing guests a one of a kind wine+camping experience." Our first HapPy gO SmiLe ART Retreat started off with a warm welcome from Maggie. She shared with us the history of the vineyard while we enjoyed some wine tasting and appetizers in the barrel room. After wine tasting we were off to the trailers. Everyone was excited to find out which cute, vintage trailer they were staying in! Kiki found her trailer! Cheers! After dinner we had a cupcake toast and s'mores with our wine! Then off to bed we went serenaded by the frog symphony! Rise & shine! In the morning a delicious, catered breakfast by Heirloom Catering was served. After breakfast we took an inspiration walk through the vineyard up to the deck. Time to break out the paints and get messy! Talk about the ultimate wine & paint party! Everyone enjoyed the afternoon creating, laughing, eating cupcakes, and drinking wine! Some even found time for a nap! What a truly magical weekend! Every detail has been thought out on this property, even the bathroom, to ensure you have an awesome experience. HaHaaaa! oh gosh I just might love red gingham a little to much! If you would like to join us for our next HapPy gO ART Retreat, on Oct 6-8, email me at [email protected] to reserve your spot! Keep creating....Barb
